Owner ı Teacher ı Fibre Artist
I enjoy helping others find their hidden talents, teaching them new skills and sharing my experience to help them achieve their goals.
I earned Bachelor of Applied Arts at Ryerson University in Fashion Design and Production Management and after working for several years in the fashion industry I chose to focus on Costuming. While learning a great deal from many talented people in the industry, I developed a broad set of skills building costumes for The National Ballet of Canada and
The Stratford Festival among many other renowned theatres and companies.
When we moved our family to Barrie several years ago, I completed a Teaching and Training Adults certificate at Georgian College, which helped inspire the vision of what is now Spool Lounge.
Aside from sewing and teaching I love searching for native plants to fill my garden, making popsicles and dreaming up costume designs with my young daughter.
