Owner ı Teacher ı Fibre Artist
I enjoy helping others find their hidden talents, teaching them new skills and sharing my experience to help them achieve their goals.
I earned Bachelor of Applied Arts at Ryerson University in Fashion Design and Production Management and after working for several years in the fashion industry I chose to focus on Costuming. While learning a great deal from many talented artists in the industry, I developed a broad set of skills building costumes for The National Ballet of Canada and
The Stratford Festival among many other renowned theatres and companies.
When I moved to Barrie several years ago, I completed a Teaching and Training Adults certificate at Georgian College, which helped inform the vision of what is now Spool Lounge.
Aside from designing, sewing, and teaching I love searching for native plants to fill my garden, making popsicles and dreaming up costume designs with my young daughter.
